FOXGLOVE INSIDE

Young Person, Children and Education Award (YPCE), 2022/23

This creative projectis generated a welcoming artwork for the Galway CAMHS unit in collaboration with the resident Young People.

The project has two strands, arts education with the Young People and the creation of a mosaic for the entrance area. A large, floor to ceiling mosaic of a foxglove is currently under manufacture. The artwork was inspired by the flowers growing in the local woodland, it is designed to enhance the entrance area while putting families and visitors at ease. The mosaic was designed from pastel and charcoal drawings made from life. Different drawings were put together digitally to make the final design which was then enlarged into the cartoon.
